Acknowledge His Name

I think that Reid and Steve both hit the nail on the head for me, this message has surely called me to pray more than I ever have. To acknowledge God through prayer is to acknowledge that He really is the name above all names, and one who I cannot live without. If there are days where I do not call upon His great name, I am choosing to say "Don't worry God I have this one and I do not need you"

The greatest blasphemy of them all.  

The way we live our lives reflects what we believe about the name of God. This calls into question what I have done and what I still do that does not reflect His name in my life, and it only calls me to PRAY MORE. Darrell gave us a list of ways to bring honor to His Name in our life, all which we could only truly do in and by the name of Jesus:

1.When we speak truth

2. When we seek Justice

3. When we show mercy

4. When we are patient

5. When we give ourselves to the poor

6. When we enter into one another's sufferings

7. When we practice hospitality

8. When we step out and share our faith in the world

9. When we try to make peace with each other

10. When we keep hope alive

11. When we live sacrificially for the kingdom

Lord I pray that my life would reflect your great name more and more, and that I could continually acknowledge your name as greater than any other. I pray that would reflect in the way I live my life.
