ONLY 1 CLAIM

Listening to DJ's sermon, what stood out to me the most is when he repeats and repeats and repeats the phrase...

"Only 1 claim"
"Only 1 claim"
"ONLY 1 CLAIM!"

I wanted to yell, "If a relationship with the living God places upon us only 1 claim, then why is it so hard sometimes!" :) I think it is because rarely do I keep the main thing the main thing, and the main thing is a relationship with the living God which He freely gives!

That one claim that Jesus gives us is to believe, trust, and just say AMEN to him! At times I do a good job of one of the three, but most of the time I struggle to believe, trust, AND say Amen to him. I find myself caught up in my own worries and anxiousness that I depend on checkmarks next to boxes to say that I am finished rather than resting after I say "AMEN!" Rest in Him Connor, rest in Jesus! This past week I have really been looking into Matthew 6:25-34 and it definitely relates to this weeks sermon. In the scripture, Jesus is inviting the audience out of worry and anxiousness and into rest in a friendship.

"And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life?...But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today." 27, 33-34

This scripture reminds me to DAILY look to the throne and rely on him in every moment. Where are your eye's Connor? Look to Jesus! Keep him the MAIN THING! Say AMEN!
