Funny ha ha?...or funny mmmmm?!I

Not a real post but just a quick thought.  Kelly gave birth to a baby girl Saturday night so the last few days in the hospital has afforded me the time to reread all the posts.  For those wondering - Campbell Murphy Delgado is her name and she has her dads nose....begin praying for her now!!!!  Anyways, I think God is so funny and amazing at the same time.  How can Abraham and Sarah's story have anything to do with our stories?  Thousands of years ago and no IPhones cannot find relevance in 2014/15...can it?  Well...their story has found relevance in all of our stories.  And not just relevance but almost frightening parallels to each and everyone of us.  Why? How?  Whether we like it or not, acknowledge it or not, submit to it or not, obey it or not, worship it or not, believe in it or not - the main thing in every persons story on earth from day 1 until now is JESUS!

I know that Stephen Covey has passed away but I would like to submit a rewrite - "THE MAIN THING (GOD) WILL ALWAYS BE THE MAIN THING IN EVERYTHING NO MATTER THE PERSON, THE PLACE, OR THE SITUATION!"

Just a quick thought!  Happy Tuesday

  1. I saw Campbell today. She was very swaddled against the cold. I came eyes to eye lids with her. For a brief moment she stopped me in my tracks. She literally took my breath away (I promised Kelly I wouldn't breathe on her if she would afford me a quick face to face) THUS - No breath. Your post reminded me of how spellbound I felt for a brief moment. For in that brief moment I encountered the breath of God on such a thin shell of dust in Campbell. (not thin candy shell....just a soft shroud of dust.) He is in the last and the least. His faith is perfected in weakness. Her dependence on Kelly and you is a heart sifting testimony to the necessary dependence of us as God's kids upon Him! I didn't contemplate any of this until I read your post and then said in my mind "Immanuel - God with us." The baby. Swaddled. In our Path. Breaking Pride. Revealing Dependence. To the Creator's Glory!
